Meet the Maker: Why I Started BAM Fam Soap Co.

Meet the Maker: Why I Started BAM Fam Soap Co.

It all started with dry skin.

Not just the oh, I need a little lotion kind of dry skin, but the cracked, uncomfortable, nothing-from-the-store-is-helping kind of dry skin. I was frustrated with products that promised “hydration” but were full of chemicals I couldn’t pronounce. So, I did what any stubborn farm girl at heart would do: I rolled up my sleeves and started experimenting.

That’s how BAM Fam Soap Co. was born.

At first, it was soap. Simple, small-batch goat milk and tallow soap that finally brought relief to my skin — and quickly caught the attention of friends and family. Soon enough, they were asking for more, and what began as a personal solution turned into a passion for creating natural skincare that really works.

But the story didn’t end with soap.

As I kept experimenting, I discovered the incredible benefits of tallow-based moisturizers. Adding tallow to body butters and balms was a game-changer — not just for me, but for my customers too. People started sharing how their skin felt softer, healthier, and actually nourished in a way they hadn’t experienced before. Hearing those stories lit a fire in me.

That’s when I knew BAM Fam Soap Co. wasn’t just about soap anymore. It was about giving people an alternative to mass-produced skincare — something natural, effective, and rooted in tradition.

And truthfully? This is just the beginning.

While our soaps and tallow moisturizers are the heart of what we do right now, I dream of BAM Fam Soap Co. growing into a full-fledged shop, BAM Fam Mercantile. A space where you can pick up handmade gifts, locally curated treasures, and maybe even fresh flowers — all with that same “made with love” touch you feel in every bar of soap and jar of balm today.

For now, though, I’ll keep doing what I love most: crafting small-batch skincare products that bring comfort, relief, and a little bit of joy to your everyday routine.

Thanks for being part of the journey. Truly — without you, there wouldn’t be a BAM Fam Soap Co.
